New PC Games Titles To Launch

Four PC Games titles are to launch in October and November.

PC Action from Europress will launch at the end of October. The monthly will have a cover price of £3.95. The final details are still not decided, but the initial print run is estimated to be 60-70,000.

The editorial content will be in a similar vein to its sister magazine Amiga Action but based on PCs.

Paragon are launching PC Power in mid November. This monthly will carry either one or two discs on its cover; when this is finalised so will be the price. There will be an initial print run of 120,000. Rates have still to be decided. The editorial is concentrated on games.

PC Player from Maverick is launched in early November. It is a monthly with a cover price of £2.25; it will have the second largest print run behind PC Power at 90,000. The editorial, as in all four new titles, will concentrate on games but ad director Simon Jones believes they have found a uniqueangle. Rates are yet to be decided.

The fourth magazine is PC Gamer from Future Publishing. This will be launched on 11 November, at the Future Entertainment Show at London Olympia. Cover price on this monthly is likely to be £3.95 and will include a disc.

The initial print run will be 50,000 but as yet rates are not fixed. The editorial of PC Gamer will be concentrating on the American Scene, with news on the latest new games and reviews.
