The Regional Strategic Alliance (RSA), a consortium of regional groups – Midland Independent Newspapers, Guardian Media Group, Thomson, Trinity, Northcliffe and UPN – has announced that its first project will be a series of three magloid supplements based on the 1996 European Championship football tournament. The colour supplements will consist of 32 pages and will be published in the months of December, April and June in the Birmingham Evening Mail, Newcastle Evening Chronicle, Manchester Evening News, Liverpool Echo, Yorkshire Evening Post, Nottingham Evening Post, and the Sheffield Star.
The European Championship football tournament is one of the biggest sporting events ever hosted in England. Matches will be held in eight different cities throughout England – London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham, Newcastle, Leeds, Sheffield and Nottingham.
Amra have been appointed to sell national advertising in the supplements.
