New Scottish Satellite Channel Rumoured

According to a report in the Independent, Scottish Television will reveal the launch of a new satellite channel for Scotland when it announces interim results on Thursday.

The Scottish channel, coined Sky Scotland, would be the result of a collaboration between STV and BSkyB. It is suggested that the service would broadcast two hours per day on the increased capacity created by the launch of BSkyB’s digital satellite service.
