Cumbrian Newspapers last week launched a new Sunday title, Sunday News & Star, just two weeks before independent local rival newspaper, Borders On Sunday, is to be launched.
Both newspapers are being launched to coincide with the start of the new football season and the editorial emphasis on both will be firmly sport-based. Both papers are looking for a circulation around 27,000 and are priced at 30p for the Sunday News & Star, and 40p for Borders On Sunday.
