BBC One’s New Tricks came miles ahead in the ratings war last night with a 35.6% audience share and more than 8.5 million peak viewers.
The 9pm crime drama pulled in more than double the number of viewers to BBC Two’s Dragon’s Den or ITV1’s Police, Camera, Action!.
The third episode in the series of Dragon’s Den attracted a 14.6% audience share, with 3.8 peak viewers in the last 15 minutes of the show.
More hopeful’s pitched their ideas to the panel, with innovations including light-up glasses managing to win over the dragon’s investment.
ITV1’s Police, Camera, Action!’s look at in-car gadgets gained just a 13% audience share with 3 million average viewers between 9pm and 10pm.
The programme focused on which of the 21st-century accessories has the worst effect on driving.
Channel 4 peaked with Big Brother at 10pm, with a 16.8% audience share and more than 3 million average viewers during the hour-long look at the house.
