New Visual Arts Magazine

New Visual Arts Magazine

A new magazine for the visual arts, “Tate”, is to be launched on 21 September by Wordsearch Publishing. The editor will be Tim Marlow, art critic and presenter of BBC Radio 4’s Kaleidoscope. Although Tate has both financial and editorial backing from the Tate Gallery, it will be editorially independent. Aiming at a general market of articulate, art literate people, it will cover broad aspects of 20th Century and Modern Art, from a modern ‘funkier’ point of view.

Tate will be published 3 times a year with an initial print run of 40,000. It will be sent direct to the Friends and Fellows of the Tate, as well as on sale at the gallery shop and major outlets. The cover price will be £3. A mono page will cost £1050 and a colour page £1725. Advertising manager is Rebecca Hunter.
