New Year Improvement For ITV Viewing
According to a report in today’s Broadcast magazine, ITV has claimed an improvement in viewing figures over the New Year after the BBC’s victory over Christmas. ITV won a larger share of the audience during the first three days of 1994, with the Gladiators final attracting 13 million and Taggart 12.3 million viewers.
On Bank Holiday Monday ITV attracted a 50.7% share, 19% higher than BBC1, helped by the Bond Film Licence to Kill which attracted 14.3 million viewers.
