Meridian, Anglia and HTV are believed to be reconsidering the ITV network’s controversial decision to move News At Ten to an earlier slot, but feel that Carlton and LWT are dictating the changes.
The reshuffle is also being halted by the Independent Television Commission who are seeking legal advice to intervene against ITV’s plans. Chief executive of the commission, David Glencross, has written to eight of the network’s companies asking them to reconsider their decision.Chief executives of the network will meet on Monday to discuss the next move.
