News Corp, Rupert Murdoch’s global media company, has posted six month financial results which show that after tax profits have risen 17% to US$576 while revenues grew by 11% to US$5.6 billion.
News International, the group’s UK newspaper division, performed well, with operating profits increasing 18% due to strong revenue and advertising growth. BSkyB, 40% owned by News Corp, revealed a 26% increase in profits on Wednesday *BSkyB High Profits.
