NewsCom To Cut Jobs In Business Review
News Communications & Media, formerly Southern Newspapers (see Southern Gets New Name For New Era), is to axe up to 160 jobs as part of a major review of the business.
The publisher of the Southern Daily Echo said it was moving production out of its plant in Dursley, Gloucestershire within the next year. It said it planned to shed 73 staff in the plant’s press room, 70 in pre-press and 10 in finance and credit control.
