Newspaper Circulations

The Daily Telegraph has increased sales by 30,000 since it has been running its holiday promotion, according to its own circulation figures. This means that the average circulation since the promotion began on 23 October is about 1,037,687.

The Independent, however has not faired so well since its revamp. The first estimated figures from the Independent show that the daily’s sales showed no significant change for the first week of the new look, which included a price rise of 5p. The Sunday paper though, which increased by 10p, added some 12,000 copies in the first week, and 6,000 in the second. This puts average sales at 372,000.
