The latest round of National Newspaper ABCs show the price cut still having effects; the Times’ 6-monthly circulation is up 48% year on year to 576,586. The Times’ monthly figure for October, at 614,477 is up 1.2% on September.
The Sunday Times, with a monthly increase of 16.7% on September fared well, up to 1,439,596. The Observer also fared well, showing a healthy increase in its monthly figure, up 11.4% on September to 531,318.
The Independent’s fortunes appear to be reversing, with the daily showing a slight increase on September, up 0.2% to 290,481. The Independent on Sunday fell by 0.8% to 313,130.
