Yesterday the 1994 Newspaper Design Awards were announced, with the Standard winning awards in five categories. The newspaper was the overall winner in the national daily newspapers section and ES magazine was overall winner in the Colour Supplements section.
The design awards for news pages also went to the Standard; for feature pages it went to the Guardian, and for business pages it went to the Financial Times.
Associated Newspapers’ Daily Mail’s Weekend section was highly commended, and the Mail on Sunday’s Night and Day was commended.
