Newsquest has announced details of its flotation plan which will see around £100m of extra funds being raised. The float, due to take place on October 23, would see the regional publisher valued at £540m, with shares being offered for between 250p and 290p.
Newsquest is now thought to be on the look-out for acquisitions in the regional newspaper market and United News & Media’s regional business has already been pinpointed as a possible target.
…Mirror Group is reported to be interested in buying IPC Magazines, the Reed Elsevier division which is thought to be up for sale.
