Northcliffe Appoints Board Director

Regional dailies publisher Northcliffe Newspapers Group has announced that Steve Batch, managing director of Northcliffe Electronic Publishing, has joined the board of directors. The appointment represents Northcliffe’s desire to develop a stronger presence in the field of electronic publishing.

Batch has been responsible for the implementation of Northcliffe’s move into electronic publishing which sees the launch this month of the digital communities site, “This is Staffordshire”. His appointment coincides with the retirement from the board of John Aldridge, a director for the last nine years.
