A restructure of Northcliffe Newspapers Group’s publishing interests in the South West has resulted in the formation of a new company called Westcountry Publications.
Northcliffe operations in Plymouth, Exeter and Torquay were previously run as separate newspaper companies but have now been amalgamated into Westcountry Publications. This will be run by a new regional management team.
Northcliffe Managing Director Alec Davidson said the restructure had been brought about by the need to deal with challenges within the media and information sector. He said: “Westcountry Publications has been set up to meet the growing needs of the region while retaining a keen focus on the local markets served by our various titles.”
