Nova Set For 4 May Relaunch

Nova Set For 4 May Relaunch

The relaunched women’s title Nova will hit the newsstands on 4 May this year, accompanied by a £2.5m marketing campaign. IPC announced it was reviving the popular title from the 60s and 70s last year (see IPC To Resurrect ’60s Style Bible Nova), with Debbie Bee as editor. Bee has just announced her editorial team for the launch, which includes former staff from Cosmopolitan and Vogue.

Marketing for the relaunch will centre around TV ads, which will air on Channel Four and Sky One from 3 May. The magazine is aimed at the post-teenage market and is promoting itself as “the fashion magazine reborn”. To illustrate this, the 10, 30 and 60 second TV ads will feature models splattering each other with eggs. There will also be a house ad campaign.

Nova will have an initial print run of 330,000, but IPC would not be drawn into speculation about its eventual circulation.
