Now Launches Ad Campaign To Support New Supplement

IPC’s flagship celebrity gossip title, Now is launching a national radio advertising campaign to promote its new one-off dieting supplement.

The supplement, entitled Get A Flat Tummy For Life, will contain 16 pages of diet and exercising tips and will reveal the eating habits of celebrities such as Demi Moore, Janet Jackson and Britney Spears.

Commenting on the initiative, Vicky Mayer, deputy editor of Now, said: “Now continues to be the market leader in the highly competitive celebrity sector and we believe it is important to continually provide added value to our readers. They are obsessed with getting flat tummies so Now‘s Get A Flat Tummy for Life booklet will show them how to do this safely and effectively.”

The new supplement is the fifth in a series of Now booklets, designed to raise awareness of the title. The magazine recently published a special edition dedicated to celebrity hairstyles, which was supported by an interactive TV campaign in hair salons across the UK (see Now Uses iTV To Promote Celebrity Hair Spin-Off).

The current fascination with celebrities shows no sign of slowing and according to the latest ABC results for the six months to December 2002, Now experienced an impressive 14% year on year increase in circulation to 630,212.
