NTL Selects New MD for UK Broadcasting Business

NTL has appointed former managing director of NTL Australia, Tom Bennie, to head up its broadcast business in the UK.

As UK managing director of NTL Broadcast, Bennie will report to the division’s chairman Peter Douglas. He will be responsible for media and wireless solutions, operations and development projects and will also oversee the provision of services to NTL Broadcast’s UK customer base, which includes ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5.

Commenting on his appointment, Bennie said: “We’re seeing some interesting times in our industry with the draft Communications Bill and the migration to new digital technologies. Opportunities exist to cement NTL Broadcast’s position and reputation and I’m very excited about the challenges ahead.”
