NTL Showcases Digital Radio

NTL Broadcast, one of the UK’s leading providers of transmission services, will demonstrate digital radio at this year’s Radio Festival in Birmingham. Two virtual digital radio sets will demonstrate the high quality sound which Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) provides as well as the graphical and text services it provides.

Also on display is a demonstration of the different digital coding rates which determine overall sound quality: a topical issue as the Radio Authority is in consultation about what capacity should be allocated to digital radio services.
