Nynex Cable Revenue Increases

Nynex Cablecomms, the UK’s second largest cable operator, has announced an improvement in its cable television revenue, which increased 93% to £38.7 million in 1995 compared with £20 million in 1994.

Other figures show that average monthly revenue per cable customer increased to £21.59 million from 1994’s £19.67 million and that the number of homes passed in Nynex’s franchise increased to 994,917 from 624,091. Penetration rates increased to 19.8% from 19.5% at the end of 1994: these increases were assisted by the reduction in churn rate to 29.4% from 31.1%.

…General Cable, the sixth largest UK cable operator, has announced a £160 million debt facility to fund the continued building of its cable network.
