The Office of Fair Trading has rejected allegations that price cuts for the Times and Daily Telegraph were predatory behaviour. It ruled that the cuts did not appear to be targeted at individual titles and had effected the quality newspaper market as a whole.
The OFT investigation had been instigated by the Independent who claimed that the price cuts were unfair.
