A spokesperson from Oftel, the telecommunications watchdog, has confirmed with Newsline that it is launching an investigation into links between BT and BSkyB which gives consumers various discounts on broadcast services and free telephone calls.
According to an article in today’s Evening Standard certain cable companies see the alliance as being anti-competitive and a breach of BT’s licence conditions.
