ONdigital has won the contract to provide 65,000 Glasgow City Council homes with digital television. The digital terrestrial group, jointly owned by Granada and Carlton, won the contract against strong competition from Sky, NTL and Blick.
Hugh McDonald, Glasgow’s assistant chief housing officer said: “Like all councils we need to be digital-ready. We carried out the most rigorous and stringent selection process of all the possible solutions. ONdigital was the clear winner. Not only was it the least expensive solution, it was also much quicker to install and minimises disturbance for out tenants.”
