Online Ads Drop During April

The number of online advertising campaigns dropped by almost 1% month on month during April to 5,472, with the number of actual ads slipping by 4% during the same period to 12,797, according to the latest figures from LemonAd.
However, the number of advertisers using the internet was up 1.8% on March to 2,902, with online directory enquiry service 192 maintaining its position as the top advertiser for the second month running. Larger internet brands Amazon and BOL were the top advertisers by number of campaigns, running 114 and 77 respectively throughout April.
According to LemonAd, editorial and content sites maintained a strong position as the UK’s number one sector by advertiser, attracting one out of three UK advertisers during the month.
