Opus Creates Package For Dotcom Ads

Radio sales house Opus has devised a package to speed up the selling process for dotcom advertisers. The First Mover Package will allow advertisers to sell ads on GWR Group stations at just 48-hours notice.

Opus sells airtime and sponsorship packages across GWR Group’s portfolio of stations in London, the Midlands, Anglia and the South West. These areas are all areas of high internet usage and the package is designed to help dotcom advertisers to target audiences at short notice.

GWR sales director Peter Charlton said: “This package is designed as a creative solution to allow dotcom start-ups to gain vital first mover advantage in an increasingly competitive environment by advertising to our internet literate radio audience at very little or no notice.”

Radio has proved to be an ideal environment for dotcom advertisers, being the only medium which can be consumed at the same time as the internet (see Online Usage Hits Traditional Media), and sales houses are eager to facilitate the selling process for these new clients.
