Outdoor Responds To ISBA Report

The Council of Outdoor Specialists has issued a statement responding to the ISBA Outdoor Report released in December 1993.

The Council welcomes the report, supporting the recommendations. With regard to the justification of agencies earning 15% commission the Council believes that agencies should be fairly rewarded and not in any way discourage from using the outdoor medium.

ISBA’s directive that it should be clear to both sides as to who is the principal in the outdoor contract is being incorporated into the OAA revised terms and conditions of trading. These are due for publication early this year.

Alan Simmons, Chairman of the COS, said “COS members are very gratified to find that, contrary to earlier impressions, the ISBA report is not only supportive of the outdoor medium but it does in fact endorse the role of specialists.”
