Overnights: 4.3m viewers for The Fixer

The return of ITV1’s hitman drama The Fixer brought in a peak of 4.3 million viewers last night.

An average of 3.8 million stuck with the 9pm show for its hour long running time – a 16.7% share of the audience.

Last night also saw the first in the series of Jamie’s American Road Trip, with celebrity chef Jamie Oliver beginning his culinary tour of the USA.

An average of 2.8 million viewers tuned in (a 12.2% share), peaking at 2.9 million.

There was another new starter on BBC Two at 9pm, with The Choir: Unsung Town following the choirmaster from Bafta-winning series The Choir attempting to round-up a members of a town to create a vast choir.

The show had a peak of 2.6 million viewers with an average figure of 2.5 million (a 10.9% share).

At the same time, BBC One’sTraffic Cops pulled in a peak of 3.8 million viewers – a 16.5% share – and an average audience of 3.6 million.
