Directors of Paramount Communications officially announced yesterday that they would consider other offers in competition with the current take-over bid from Viacom of $7.5bn. (News -24/9) The QVC Network has already put a hostile bid to the Paramount Board of around $9.9bn, but since QVC are a smaller company Paramount are insisting on receiving “satisfactory evidence” of financial support for the bid.
