Following the recent restructuring at Laser *Laser Changes Directors, two more senior employees have been made redundant. Simon Kershaw, a group manager and Farrar Butt, an operations executive, are the latest casualties.

Meanwhile, Lowe Group vice-chairman, David Jones, is replacing John Farrell as group chairman of DMB & B.

Associated Newspapers are reported to have promoted the Daily Mail’s sales controller, Sue Minnikin, to group commercial executive. Minnikin will now report directly to Associated’s group managing director, Murdoch MacLennan. She will be responsible for not only the press, but also Associated’s cable channel, Channel One. Meanwhile, Justin Farnan, a former sales executive at the Evening Standard has been taken on by GQ as its new ad manager. Farnan replaces Karen Atkinson who has moved to Conde Nast’s northern office.

Sunday Business has lost its third ad director in less than a year; Charlie Kerr departed last Friday, a permanent replacement has not yet been appointed. Meanwhile, David Rydell has been appointed editor of the paper, he takes over from Anil Bhoyrul who left last month.

Punch is experiencing similar problems to Sunday Business : the title has also just lost its third ad director in less than a year. John Trickett has left after only 6 weeks with the company. Neil Anderson, the ad manager, is now the new ad director.
