Pearson are contemplating selling their 4% stake in BSkyB if their offer of £233m for US television production company All American comes off. A spokeswoman for Pearson said the sale of the BSkyB stake, and the possible sale of other broadcasting company stakes held by Pearson, would be completed in order to further distance the company from television. Pearson also holds a stake in Channel 5 Broadcasting.
