Petar 1992/1993 Survey Results

According to the latest Pan European Television Audience Research (PETAR) satellite channels have increased their share of viewing in European cable and satellite homes by 12% year on year – from 50% in 1992 to 62% in 1993.
The survey shows a trend towards strong commercial TV at the expense of state-run operations, as well as a movement towards ‘themed’ channels. It sees the latter as offering the main Pan European opportunity for the future.
Full survey details will be available on Mediatel later in the week.
