Phat To Target Teenage Boys
Phat Magazine, a lifestyle title for teenage boys, is to hit the news-stands on July 1. The magazine’s ad manager, Laurence Stubbs, explained to MediaTel that Phat will be aimed at the pre-Face and Arena reader. It will comprise a number of sections covering lifestyle, music, product information and what’s on and where to go.
Stubbs pointed out that all existing magazines aimed at teenage boys are specialist titles covering computer games or sports. Phat will be published monthly by C12 Publishing and will have a cover price of £1.50. It will launch with a conservative print run of 35,000, which C12 hopes to build on over time. The magazine’s editor is Gavin Hills.
