Planning Magazine Goes Online
Haymarket magazine, Planning , is to mark the 50th anniversary of the Town and Country Planning act by making its debut on the World Wide Web on Wednesday August 6 with Planning Online. The web site has been designed and is hosted by web MediaTel Interactive, the web consultancy division of MediaTel.
Reflecting the weekly publication, which focuses on town and country planning and its impact on the natural and built environment, the site combines essential news stories and features with an interactive recruitment service, hyperlinks to some of the best sites of interest to planners and details about subscription and advertising costs.
The online recruitment section is of interest to both job seekers and recruiters, offering a number of search criteria including employertype, job title and location; while access to other relevant sites can be searched by subject (planning, economic development, government) and keywords.
Comments Jim Deen, publishing director at Planning: “The planning profession is highly oriented towards new media, so a dedicated web site is the most logical progression for our publication.”
Derek Jones, MediaTel Interactive’s managing director: “This new site adds an extra dimension to Planning, in particular the recruitment pages, the software for which has been wholly designed and written by MediaTel Interactive. It also marks the first of two Haymarket titles with which we are involved, the second being Marketing, whose new site we are about to launch.”
When the site goes live it can be found at http://www.planning.haynet.com.
