Marcus Plantin’s ambition to revolutionise Sunday night television on ITV has been tainted slightly with the announcement that the blockbuster movie slot is to terminate on February 21. ITV’s further stockpile of films cannot be broadcast until 1994 and so it is unable to keep the airtime filled with suitable material. The blockbuster slot claimed audiences of up to 12 million.
