The computer sector has proven once again to be a growth marketplace with many titles seeing excellent year on year increases in sales.
Notable is the exceptional growth within the Playstation sector. The recent outdoor advertising campaign and revamp of the Future’s Playstation Power title appears to have paid off with a substantial 115.60% year on year increase in sales. Its sister magazine The Official Playstation Magazine had an excellent increase in sales to 314,114 leading Future to claim it is “Britain’s 5th biggest selling men’s title”.
It was Future Publishing which picked up the largest collections of accolades at the 1998 Association of Circulation Executives Awards and these latest ABC results highlight its continuing domination of the computer marketplace.
New titles to the marketplace, IDG Media’s Windows Expert and Future’s Internet Works report sales of 21,101 and 20,303 copies respectively.
