Podcast: Behind the surge in media agency entries in the IPA Effectiveness Awards
The Media Leader Podcast

There has been a “dramatic” surge in media agency IPA Effectiveness Awards entries, according to Laurence Green, the IPA’s effectiveness director.

Speaking with editor-in-chief Omar Oakes, Green discusses the reasons behind this trend and whether advertising and marketing are being more led by media planning and buying.

He revealed that the awards, which run every two years, has seen a 32-year high in entries overall for best-in-class advertising effectiveness work.

Green, who has founded ad agencies and is one of the UK’s most renowned brand strategists, also discusses the state of Cannes Lions and the work showcased this year at the world’s biggest advertising show.

The IPA Effectiveness Awards shortlist will be published this week.
