Portsmouth & Sunderland Newspapers today reported a strong in increase in interim pre-tax profits which jumped 26% to £5.9 million. The improvement was on the back of a 16% rise in turnover, up from £75.2 million to £87 million. The company publishes titles such as the Sunderland Star and Chichester Observer Series .
