IPC Magazines has announced that Andy Sutcliffe, group editor of the three IPC cycling titles, is being seconded to the company’s Music & Sports special projects department for a twelve month period. As a result a number of post changes have been effected.
Robert Garbutt has been promoted to editor of Cycling Weekly, from deputy editor. Cycle Sport editor and Channel 4 cycling commentator Phil Liggett becomes international editor of the title. Luke Evans is promoted from features editor to editor of Cycle Sport.
James Beechinor-Collins is promoted to deputy editor of Mountain Bike Rider, from group art editor. To replace him, Keith Simpson is promoted from deputy to group art editor.
Publisher Keith Foster said: “It’s a measure of Andy’s contribution to the cycling titles that we have had to make so many changes within the department to accommodate his absence.”
