Press Baron Rothermere Dies At 73

Viscount Rothermere, proprietor of the Daily Mail, Mail on Sunday and the London Evening Standard, has died at the age of 73.

Lord Rothermere, the chairman of Daily Mail and General Trust plc, died on Tuesday night in St Thomas’s Hospital, London, after a heart attack, according to a company statement. He was the scion of a newspaper dynasty founded by the inventor of popular journalism in Britain, his great uncle, the first Lord Northcliffe.
