The Guardian Group today announced annual financial results which show pre-tax profits before exceptional items have risen 50% year on year to £30.167 million while turnover was up 8% to £326.2m.
The Group predicts that “the business climate with buoyant advertising and low newsprint prices which favours our sector is unlikely to continue indefinitely.” Despite this, the Guardian believes that it will have good results in 1998.
