Interim pre-tax profits rose 12% year on year to £43.7m for the Mirror Group. Growth in advertising revenue assisted this, with Classified ads being particularly strong with a 24% increase. Losses at L!ve TV fell and it is expected that The Independent will enter into profit next year.
