Centaur Communication’s Graham Sherren and the late Anthony Nares will today be honoured the 1996 Marcus Morris Award. The award reflects the outstanding contribution made to business magazine publishing and will be presented at the Four Seasons Hotel after the 82nd PPA AGM.
Graham Sherran formed Product Journals Ltd in 1964 which amalgamated into Morgan Grampian in 1968. He contributed to the growth of the publishing company in the 1970’s and launched various titles which became market leaders in their field. These titles include Building Design, Travel Trade Gazette, Electronic Times and Pulse.
The late Anthony Nares established titles such as Marketing Week and Creative Review in the early 1980s. With Graham Sherran, head of Centaur Communications, the pair built twenty-two stable marketing and financial titles including Televisual, Money Marketing and New Media Age.
