Pulse FM And Great Yorkshire Gold Re-Awarded Licences
The Radio Authority has today re-awarded the licences held by The Pulse (FM) and Great Yorkshire Gold (AM) in West Yorkshire; the new 8-year contract period will run from January 1996.
John Josephs, managing director of the Metro Radio Group, which owns the two licences, said that the decision by the Radio Authority is regarded as a positive signal that responsible and professional broadcasters have nothing to fear from licence re-applications.
