Pure Launches CD-Rom Lads’ Mag

Pure Communications is claiming a first this week with the launch of Enter, an interactive CD-Rom magazine. Targeting the lads’ mags audience, it is headed up by former Later deputy editor, Sam Delaney.

Described as “a whole new way of entertaining young men with a healthy taste for music, sport, movies, comedy, kung-fu and scantily clad lovelies”, it places lads’ mags regulars within the format of a “virtual city” accessed through the user’s CD-Rom. First issue, priced £1.00, includes interviews with Charlie Seiga, Gerry Adams, Phil Jupitus and Ardal O’Hanlon.

The title enters the market as the men’s lifestyle magazine sector suffers a downturn (see Men’s Lifestyle Titles take A Tumble).
