Q Magazine and its website, Q4music.com, have amalgamated their editorial teams.
The magazine, which is top of the music magazine sector, despite a considerable year on year and period on period decline in circulation, according to the latest consumer magazine ABCs (see ABC Results Jul-Dec 2006:Q Mag Remains King Of Music Sector Despite Circulation Decline), has joined forces with its online counterpart to form a single editorial team.
Paul Rees, editor, is now responsible for all editorial across the magazine and website. He is supported by Gareth Grundy, deputy editor, who will assume day to day responsibility for running Q4music.com.
Grundy will be the main point of contact for the Q50 and Q podcasts whilst Luke Lewis, associate editor (regulars and online), will manage news, regulars and video exclusives on the site.
Stuart Williams, deputy managing director, takes responsibility for the overall Q business with support from Will Currie, head of online music, who will manage advertising and marketing issues.
In the past few years, the magazine’s website has increased its unique users, which spiked at the end of 2005 before recording a gradual decline. However, the site now appears to be experiencing an upturn.
