Q2 Rajar Figures: London Stations

The Capital Radio Group once again has the highest weekly reach in the London sector with an overall reach of 35%. 95.8 Capital FM has the highest share of listeners for an individual station (up 0.6% to 17.7% year on year) and 1548 Capital has the second highest figures with an increase of 0.3% taking it to 5.7%. Heart 106.2 FM has seen the greatest increase in its share of listening in the London sector with an increase of 1.7% which takes it to 4.7%. Melody 105.4FM also saw a significant increase in its weekly reach, up 1% to 10%, taking its weekly reach to over 1 million listeners for the first time. LBC 1152 AM also gained a considerable increase on both reach and hours, with weekly reach up 2% to 6%.

Share Of Listening

London stations not faring so well include 963 Liberty which suffered a loss of around 40,000 of its weekly reach compared to the same quarter last year although its actual share of listening did go up 1% on last year. London stations that suffered a loss in share of listening include Choice FM (London) (-0.5%), News Direct 97.3FM (-0.8%)and Sunrise Radio (London) (-0.5%).
