RA Advertises Bristol/North Somerset Small-Scale Licences

The Radio Authority (RA) is advertising new small-scale local FM radio licences for services in the Bristol/North Somerset areas. The licences will cover Bristol, North Somerset, Bath and South Gloucestershire.

The Authority anticipates awarding two licences for these areas; each licence will run for a period of eight years from the date the station begins broadcasting.

Applicants should contact the RA at the following address for application forms. The closing date for submissions is 3 November 1998.

A non-refundable fee of £750 is charged for each application submitted. The RA expects to announce who has been granted the licences early next year.
