The Radio Authority has received 5 applications for its small scale licences within Lanarkshire (see Newsline). Applications were submitted by Avon FM, Clan FM, Eklipse FM, Lanarkshire FM and XL FM.
The RA has also awarded four new scale FM local licences within the Solent/Mid Hants area after receiving 14 applications earlier this year (see Newsline). The new licence holders are The NRG (Bournemouth), Southampton City Radio, Victory FM and Win 107FM. The licences will come into effect when the applicants are ready to start broadcasting.
