Marcher Coast FM and Marcher Gold will shortly be running a month long ad campaign for Satellite Decoder Systems, the company which sells unauthorised decoders for Sky TV subscription channels. It would appear that whilst it is illegal to manufacture, hire, distribute or use the pirate decoders, it is not illegal to advertise them.
CALL TO LIFT BT RESTRICTIONS
Following last week’s TCI-Bell Atlantic merger the Government is being put under pressure to lift restrictions which prohibit BT from entering the UK cable TV business. Without a change in the law BT believe they would be unable to compete into the 21st century.
